STORY EXCERPTS
01. Ana
Finding my voice wasn’t about being bold or confident naturally—it was through healing and the power of the word of God to renew every single part of my mind that my voice emerged. It’s been a process of unlearning the lies I was raised with and stepping into the identity of being a child of God.

If we allow Him, He will take our most broken places to produce the most glory for His name. The restoration story of my life has been the restoration of a woman. My story has been a healing journey in the deep places of identity and belonging. Shame led me to believe I was not a woman; I was a mistake and will never belong amongst women. But God has saved me and has hunted down every lie I believed. By His great mercy, He has delivered me from darkness and graced me to become a voice of awakening for other women to arise and become all He has created us to be.

Sit with Him. Know Him. Receive from Him. So often, we want to run and do, but it’s in the sitting and receiving that we find the strength to stand. If I could go back and tell my younger self anything, it would be to rest in Him. You don’t have to force doors open—He’ll open them for you.

At first, it felt awkward—I wasn’t used to being on the receiving end of their prayers and apologies. It was also something I didn’t think I needed. I would’ve never thought to orchestrate such a moment. But as they prayed, something broke inside both of us. We began to weep, not just from their words but from the weight of all we had held inside over the years. It hit me that I had never really allowed myself to process the racial injustices in our nation—let alone grieve over them."

The real breakthrough started when my marriage could no longer move forward. As my husband prepared to leave, God spoke clearly: "Let him go. Give him back to me. You've been trying to control everything out of fear, and the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Put your burdens back on me, and watch what I can do."

In that moment, the Holy Spirit reminded me that sin is not Ben, and Ben is not sin. That truth allowed me to separate the man I loved from the brokenness he carried. I saw him as a man trapped by the enemy, not defined by his mistakes.
My forgiveness didn’t come easily, but it came.
Ben’s confession led to healing, but it also meant the end of our time as pastors in Portland. We were fired, excommunicated from our church community, and left to start over. It was painful but also the beginning of a journey toward restoration.
"If ever there comes a time when the women of the world come together purely and simply for the benefit of mankind, it will be a force such as the world has never known."
